Break a leg this coming Thursday, Julie! Wish that I could be there, but I'm livin' my own dream life as a drone.

A complete non-sequitor, I know, but have you or any of your bleaders seen the following (talk about food taking a surreal turn). Author Wendy McClure found Weight Watchers recipe cards from the Seventies stored at her mom's house. The muse spoke and she knew just what to do with those faded gems -- caption them and put them in a book. My library staff and I laughed ourselves sick with these, so, please, enjoy! justjacques

Hi, Julie,
I just finished your book last night whilst the wind was whipping and howling outside, and I was snuggled in my co-worker's bed. (No, nothing inappropriate going on, just a dog/house-sitting gig! ;))
I wanted to applaud you for a smart, hilarious, creative first book. You have inspired me to start considering my own project, as I can definitely relate to both temping and the frustrations of office life!
I will be in NYC March 29-31--will you be giving a reading anywhere?

Hi Julie,
I live in northeastern Washington so I can't make it. I just finished your book and really loved the way you took the cookbook and blogged your journey. I am working on a memoir/cookbook project and your book was in my " inspiration " pile. It worked. I have started a blog and am trying to get the memoir/cookbook thing done also. My blog is gatheringaroundthetable.blogspot.com. Have a great reading.

Hey, Julie -- tried to leave a "comment" for you and Blogger gave me a box for emailing you, instead (I guess i need to get the lay of the land on this site), so ignore the email -- it was meant to go here.

Anyway, I just finished reading J&J -- recommended by a male friend of mine, a puppeteer and actor. I found this blog before your two most recent posts, but didn't check in again until this a.m. Could have given you some fresh-in-my-mind suggestions for the reading, but, too late.

I agree with Remabulous, your book is an inspiration and a comfort to me, too -- also a too self- contained "creative", but I'm 50-something, former secretary in what turned out to be a dead-end job... now I'm fruitlessly self employed and STILL not doing those things for which I have the greatest gifts. Your experience gives me back my hope (that was a line in a very cynical Judy Collins song from the '60s, but I mean it very un-cynically). It's true -- you never know where your life will take you, that's part of the fun of it.

Once you completed your essay you should think about who can proofread my paper. In this case, you can try to hire the expert writing services and ask them for some help.
